Founder Story:  Life begins at Uni – Part 2

Kami and Galen were enjoying being back at university.  Not being the newbies this time around they settled in much more quickly.  Kami was pleased to see her garden had survived the summer.

Galen had found quite the assortment of items that had been thrown away over the summer.

Kami was very popular and always on the guest list for parties.

Although the constant partying was beginning to show in her performance at class.

She found her experiments were failing all the time.

And she just couldn’t grasp the anatomy lessons at all.

Galen on the other hand was doing better this term and spent his time working towards his degree.

He was increasingly concerned with Kami’s late nights and poor results.

Galen: Where are you it’s getting late?

Kami: Its fine, the party is just getting started!

Galen: I’m not going to tell you what to do Kam but if you carry on like this you are going to fail.

Kami: Look, I won’t be late okay?

Galen: Just look after yourself.  I’ll see you when you get home.

Kami stayed out very late and everyone had left for class.   Kami didn’t rush, it was practical day and no-one would notice if she was late anyway.  She fed Vance then headed down to breakfast.

Galen hadn’t spoken to Kami that morning; she was still snoring as he got ready for class.   He had woken as she fell into bed shushing herself and giggling after too much juice.  He was worried about her classwork and her health.

Galen could hardly concentrate on his sketching class.  Not only was he concerned about Kami but they made them sit in the snow for the whole lesson!  He was so class he had worn his waterproof trousers.

Galen: I’m not sure if I will be able to stand after class, I can no longer feel my legs.

It does seem a little harsh.

Kami was struggling.  She had a raging hangover and just wanted to sleep.

Kami: So how do I turn it on again?

The next day was Friday Finals.  Tests all day to see how well you are performing.

Galen did well and passed with flying colours.  Kami scraped a pass but only just.

As a previous straight A student Kami realised that she was heading down the wrong path.  That first week’s exam result shook her up.  Galen was right; if she didn’t get her act together she was going to fail.

Kami started spending her free time taking in seminars.

And working on her science skills.

Galen watched as Kami studied hard and pulled her grades back up. 

Galen: I’m so proud of you.

Kami: But why?  I was stupid and nearly ruined my chances of passing.

Galen: Yes, but you realised your mistakes and pulled yourself back.  That’s what I’m proud of.

Kami: You always see the best in me Galen, I love you.

However there was a party that Kami had to attend, her hen night!

Although Galen offered to go out Kami wanted him to stay.  He felt a little weird around all the drunken ladies.

But soon got into the spirit of things as they sprayed him with fizzy nectar.

Now just had to add this pic in.  This would so be my hen night if I was to ever get married!!  Drinkies and Skyrim, lol!

Anyways on with the legacy!

Someone had ordered Kami some exotic dancers.

Kami: Are you sure they are at the right place?  The Brokeback party is over in the men’s dorm.

Galen ended the party with a special song he had written just for Kami.

Galen: *sings*

Your love,

Makes the sun shine through,

Removes the grey and shows me blue.

Your love,

Dispels the showers in June,

Makes birds sing and the roses bloom.

With your love,

I never feel afraid I feel safe in your arms.

Hold me close, don’t let me go,

Is all I need to know.

Dancer: Who is that guy?  He’s good!

Kami: That is my fiancé!

Kami was still working hard towards that degree.

Galen was trying different hobbies as with all the cooking and painting for his degree he wanted an escape.

He decided stargazing was not for him.

Galen: Don’t ever look through there.  You see bad things through there.

Next he tried his hand at pool trick shots.

Galen: I think I’ll stick to painting, it’s safer!

Vance the salamander died L

But with a quick conversion spell Kami change the rotting amphibian (sorry Vance) in to a beautiful fairy damsel fish called Noelle.

Galen asked Kami if he could sketch her nude. 

Kami:  I didn’t think we would be doing this outside, it’s the middle of winter!

Galen: It’s perfect.  Your skin glows as the moonlight shines of the snow and caresses your skin.

Kami: Alright sweet talker you nearly done?  I’m about to have your favourite appendages freeze and drop off.

Dorm guys: Hey quit with the genie rubbish and move!  You’re blocking the game.

Galen: Not until you let me play.

Dorm Guys: Fine!  But you get to be Princess Peach.

Kami: Nintendo sucks, Sony rules!!

Dorm guy: Seriously? 

Galen: Who’s that mad woman?

Kami: And don’t you pretend you don’t know me Galen Dragoso or there will be no woo-hoo for you tonight!

Dorm Guys: *death stare at Galen*

Galen: Urm, yeah.  Just leaving.

Kami’s grades were back to her usual standard and she was back on the Dean’s good list.

Galen had given up trying to find a new hobby and was concentrating on his painting.

Kami had finally remembered how to switch on the anatomy skeleton.

It was the day for final finals and both Kami and Galen did very well.

This of course was call for a celebration!

With exams ended and results finally through it was time to see if Kami and Galen had succeeded in completing their degrees.

And they did! 

Sad that their time at university had come to an end but excited for things to come Kami and Galen headed off to graduation.

Kami got an A in her Science & Medicine degree.  She also earned the Bookworm trait for reaching the top of the Nerd social group and the Nurturing trait for passing her degree!

Galen got a B in his Fine Arts degree and earned the Artistic trait for passing.

They headed back to the dorm and celebrated until the van arrived to take them home.

University was over.  Kami and Galen headed back to Sunlit Tides to begin their new life together.
