With Martin and Clare back home, things in the Pendragon household quickly returned to normal.

The snow was persistent and the fun it once brought was wearing thin.

Martin was enjoying being back with the comforts of home.

But Clare was restless.  Without the schedules and the studying, she felt a little lost.

Martin found his new degree helped him understand the bot building process better and was striving to become proficient at the skill.

Clare had decided to try something new and headed over to the winter festival to try her hand at snowboarding.  She was, of course, a natural!

Clare: Woohooo!  This is awesome!

Clare headed over to visit her brother.

Julian and Poppy’s second child Lacie was now toddling.

Julian doted on his girls.

It was prom time for the teens!

Destiny was voted prom queen and agreed to go steady with Orson Newell.

Unfortunately Jonas had a very dull time and was glad to leave!

Moss was voted prom king and agreed to go steady with Jodie Newell.

Despite his loner trait, Grayson became romantically involved with Darlene Bunch.

Clare had uploaded her resume on her return from uni and was excited to have received a job offer.  She accepted at once.  Clare is now a Minor Leaguer in the Professional Sports career!

Kami and Galen had decided to throw a gift giving party for snowflake day.  Apparently there was no room for the gift giving tree! Really?!

Martin had invited Carolina over for the party.

Martin: Hey beautiful, I’ve missed you.

Carolina: I’ve missed you too.  Thanks for inviting me, are you sure your family won’t mind?

Martin: Of course not!  They will love you just as much as I do.

Clare had also invited a guest.

Clare:  You came!

Adam: Well you did invite me.

Clare: If I could invite you every day I would!  Life has been so dull without you.

Adam:   I’ve missed you too plant lady.

It didn’t take long for Martin and Carolina to get *cough* reacquainted!

Not only was it snowflake day, it was also time for Destiny to become a young adult.

Destiny: I am so gonna rock adulthood!

Sparkles!

Nice :)  Destiny gained the frugal trait.  Her lifetime wish is Master Mixologist.

Destiny’s new boyfriend Orson had also aged up and she liked the result!

They even had their first kiss, nawww!

Orson’s parents were feeling a little awkward!

Jonas and Grayson were enjoying the company of their lady friends.  Jonas has started spending a lot of time with Martina Allora and Grayson was smitten with Darlene.

Jonas plucked up the courage and asked Martina to go steady.  She said yes :)

Kami was feeling a little lost around all the young blood at the party, so headed off to release the tension.

Galen had also excused himself to work on a new painting.

Even in adulthood Destiny stayed faithful to Parsnip.

Martin had finally had a response to his resume and joined the music career.

It seemed Destiny’s attitude had not improved with age and she was constantly getting on Clare’s nerves!

It was graduation day for Destiny.  She graduated with Merit and was voted most likely to be a millionaire.

They bumped into Orson who was also graduating.

Destiny congratulated him on his success!

Moss also bumped into Jodie and came over all shy!

Butler Bryce had an unfortunate incident with the stereo.

A very unfortunate incident! 

And so Bryce became the first headstone to adorn the family graveyard.

Bickering between siblings was becoming commonplace. 

Clare would often lock herself away in the bathroom just for some peace!

Galen had not taken to Bryce’s replacement Logan.

Galen:  He’s just not the same!

Moss had headed over to see his twin.  The family were missing him terribly but Galen remained stubborn and refused to let him return home.

Dillon:  I don’t understand why dad is being so unreasonable!  I’ve been behaving, my grades are up, I just don’t get it!

Moss: Honestly Dillon, I’ve tried.  He’s just not budging.

The boys tried persuading Julian to help.

Dillon:  Please can you have a word?  You can tell him how good I’ve been.

Julian:  I’ll try Dillon but I can’t promise it will help.

Clare had found a way to calm Destiny.  Training.

Clare:  Come on!  Put some effort in to it.  I’ve seen faster snails!

Galen was still missing Bryce.

So Kami did her best to cheer him up ;)

Martin had been sent to Egypt for a work assignment.

Martin: OMG!  It’s so hot!

He quickly completed his task.

While there he discovered snake charming and was hooked!

Not enjoying the heat, Martin returned home early.

Kami was pleased to see her son home safe.

Clare was struggling with the science skill and her experiments produced some very smelly results!

Destiny had upgraded the bar in the living room to allow her to practice mixology.

Destiny had received a call from Orson.  He wanted to meet her at the spring festival.  Destiny was excited to be seeing him and yet she still felt nervous for some reason.

That reason became clear as soon as she saw him.

Orson: Oh.  So you came then.

Destiny: What’s with the attitude?  Of course I came, why wouldn’t I?

Orson:  You should know cheater!

Destiny: What!?

Orson:  Come on Destiny, it’s all over town!

Destiny:  I have no idea what you are talking about!

Orson:  Hanging around in bars at all hours, flirting with any man that comes your way.  I can’t bear to look at you!

Destiny:  I’m training to be a mixologist, that’s why I go to bars.  And when did it become a crime to be nice to people!

Orson:  It’s over Destiny.

Destiny:  But Orson!

Orson:  Goodbye.

Destiny was heartbroken.  Had she maybe been over friendly and given people the wrong idea?  She loved Orson and knew she had to find a way to fix what had been broken.  But how?

Galen had watched his daughter mope around the house for weeks after her break up with Orson.  He hated to see her so sad.  If only there was some way of letting her know everything was going to turn out alright.

Galen:  I’ve got it!

Galen remembered Kami talking about a project she had been working on before she retired.  The science facility had a working time portal.  If he could go forward and see how things turned out for Destiny maybe he could reassure her.  He sneaked onto the facility grounds and found the portal.  Looking for an on switch and finding nothing, he gave it a kick.

Galen:  How do you turn this thing on?

Galen: Oh!  Man this thing is bright!

Galen: What the…!

Emit: Well hello.  You aren’t the usual scientist.  Who are you?

Galen:  I’m Galen Pendragon.  I want to help my daughter by seeing the future.

Emit: Oh?

Galen: She’s very upset you know.  I’m worried about her.

Emit:  So, not a scientist then?  Interesting. 

Galen:  So can you tell me how to use this thing?

Emit:  Indeed I can.  This is a time almanac.  Keep it safe and it will guide you well.

Galen: Okay.  So then what?

Emit: That’s it!

Galen: But…

Emit:  just step into the light and the future will be yours.

Galen: Really?  That simple?

Emit: Yups!

Galen:  Here, look at my daughter.  Isn’t she a beauty?  Well, all my children are to be fair.  Here look, oh and these are my granddaughters.

Emit: Urm...

Galen:  So, I just step into the light right?

Emit:  Yes.

Galen: This isn’t a Melinda Gordon type light is it?

Emit: Who?

Galen:  Here goes!  Ready to see future Destiny!

Emit:  What!  No I should explain something!

Galen: wow, there is quite a loud buzzing in here.  Thanks for everything!

Emit: But you need to know something!

Galen: …

Emit: Dammit he’s gone.

Galen: Oh, hello.  My, hasn’t the neighbourhood changed in the last 10 years.

Emit: Urm, I tried to tell you before you left.

Galen:  Tell me what?

Emit:  The portal is locked to a set time.  You haven’t travelled 10 years ahead.

Galen:  So how far have I travelled?

Emit: 500 years.

Galen: Oh my!  I can’t see how this can help Destiny.

Emit:  I’m sorry.  But take some time to explore.  You may even find answers within the lives of your descendants.

Galen:  Descendants?

Emit:  It’s all in your almanac.  Good luck my friend.

Galen:  Well.  This is quite the adventure.  Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say!  Right where to start.  Ah the mausoleum, that must hold some answers!

Galen:  Well here goes nothing!

But unfortunately nothing is all Galen got.  Well apart from singed due to a very unfortunate experience in the catacombs!  He checks his almanac and discovers the address of his descendants.

Galen:  Right!  Let’s go meet the family!

Galen was greeted warmly by his descendants.  After many hours it was time to leave.  He was still unsure as to Destiny’s future but he did know that his family and the Newell’s were tied.  But with two of his children having relationships with the family he knew not which one would succeed.

Galen headed back to the community centre.  Even though he was unable to help with Destiny’s future, he was content in the knowledge that his family would carry on for generations.

After his rest Galen decided to explore a bit.  It seemed silly to head home without checking out some of what the future had to offer.  He started with the bot emporium.

He was in awe at the bots and wished he could replace that rotten Logan with one.

After spending the day exploring, Galen knew it was time to return.

He was glad to be back and proud that his family had survived the years.  However he was still a little sad he couldn’t help his daughter.

Galen arrived home to find Kami waiting up for him.

Kami:  Good trip dear?

Galen:  I don’t know what you mean, just went for a jog.  Oh I ache!

Kami:  A jog in the future per chance?

Galen:  Wha!  How did you know!

Kami:  I know you.

Kami:  So?  Did you get the answers you wanted?

Galen: No.  But I do know that are family will continue to thrive.

Kami:  Then that is a good thing, is it not?

Galen:  But Destiny?

Kami:  Destiny is strong and will pave her own path. Trust in her Galen.

Galen:  *sigh* I do, I will.
