A Proposal

Well it has been a while, again!  I’m sorry for the long gaps but with 2 jobs on the go I don’t get much time!  I must also confess to be dividing my time between Sims 3 and 4 at the moment :$ But don’t worry, the Pendragon’s are still here J  So, let’s see what they have been up to shall we?

Julian had a lot on his mind.  He hadn’t heard from Poppy lately and was worried he had upset her in some way.

Julian: *sigh*

Dillon: Your moping is getting annoying!

Julian: One day you will understand little bro.  The heart is a fragile thing.

Dillon: Never!  Girls are icky!

Destiny: Don’t worry Julian, Carrot and I will go and wrangle up Poppy for you!

Julian decided to have a dance and cheer himself up.

Peanut: You want a doughnut?

Julian: No thank you Peanut, I don’t feel like eating.

Peanut: Your loss, it has strawberry frosting and sprinkles!

Julian: I just need to take my mind off Poppy for a while.

Peanut: I knew that girl was trouble from the moment I saw her.

Grayson: Why is brudda so sad mummy?

Kami: His heart hearts honey.

Grayson: Will he die?

Kami: No little man, he will be fine.  Time will make things right.

However Julian wasn’t so sure and pined for Poppy, even in his sleep.

Clare was working hard on her ballet and athletic skills.  One day she wanted to go to University and get a degree in sports.

The gnomes, oblivious to Julian’s personal crisis, were having fun in the garden.

As Julian watched TV with Peanut, he was unaware of a visitor arriving.

Poppy: Oh my!  That poor man!

At the sound of her voice Julian rushed outside.

Julian:  Where have you been?  I thought you didn’t want to see me again.

Poppy:  I’m so sorry!  My aunt became seriously ill and we had to rush to see her.

Julian: But you didn’t call.

Poppy:  Forgive me, things happened in such a rush and I was so worried for her I just didn’t think.

Julian: Well you are back now.

Julian grabbed hold of Poppy and kissed her.  She seemed shocked and just stood staring at him for what seemed like an eternity.

Julian: Oh.  You are back aren’t you?  We are still okay?

Poppy grabbed him and pulled him close.

Poppy: Of course.

Martin was trying to further Grayson’s language skills.

Grayson: No listen.  Stinky potty!

Martin: *sigh*

Clare had come to speak to Poppy.  Julian was nervous as to what she was going to say.  He knew the family had suffered with him while she was away and he hoped they wouldn’t treat her harshly.

Clare: Poppy!  I’m so glad to see you!  Julian has been so sad with you gone; it’s wonderful you are finally back.

Destiny:  See!  I told you we would bring her back!

All of the family were pleased that Poppy had returned.

Peanut: I’m not.

Okay, nearly all the family.

Clare was admiring the glass dragon egg in the garden and enjoying the sounds of Martin’s latest composition.

Clare: One day egg you will be mine.

But the bees had other ideas.

Clare: Gettem off!

Julian’s appetite had returned and Galen prepared a special meal to celebrate.

Martin was a favourite in the bedtime story area and Dillon and Moss queued up for a story.

Galen had finished his latest painting.  Creepy eyes!

Moss was curious about the relationship between his brother and Poppy.

Moss: So Do you love her?

Julian: Yes, yes I do.

Moss: So how do you know if you really love someone?

Julian: You feel it in your heart.

Moss: What like a heart attack?

Julian: Well, no.  It doesn’t hurt.  Except sometimes it can hurt.  But normally it is a good feeling.

Moss: That sounds confusing.

Julian: I guess it is a bit.

Martin was practicing his mean wizard look.

While Clare worked on her mean genie look…twins!

Destiny:  Ha ha!  Look Carrot, Clare is a tornado!

Time had come for another birthday and Martin had managed to get singed again.  Really no idea how he keeps doing this!

Dillon and Moss were becoming teens!!

Here is teen Moss who gained the vegetarian trait.

And Dillon, who gained the schmoozer trait.

In normal Pendragon fashion, the newly ages teens headed upstairs to tend to the youngest siblings.

Dillon: Moss I wanna swap, this one is noisy.

Moss: No way bro, I like this one.

Clare and Julian had also headed upstairs to tend to the toddlers.

Clare:  They’ve stolen our toddlers!

Julian: I know right!  No fair!

Dillon: Suck it up siblings!

With the teens fighting over the toddlers, Galen was promoted to bedtime story reader.

Destiny: Dad.  You’re reading cooking again.

Galen: But cooking is a fascinating subject!

Destiny: Martin reads stories about horseys.

Galen: Would you believe this is about a cooking horsey?

Destiny: No.

With the bedtime story done Destiny checked for monsters under the bed.  Just to be safe.

Unfortunately she found one!

What are you doing on the balcony?

Destiny: Monster!

Well you will have to go in sometime, you can’t stay there forever.

Destiny walked briskly across the room with one eye on the bed.

Destiny: Fine.  But I’m never setting foot in this room again!

She climbed in with her sister knowing she would be safe there.

With Poppy back on the scene Julian felt he had been neglecting Peanut so decided to spend some quality time with him.

Julian: oomph! Too hard Peanut!

Peanut: Sorry! *evil laugh*

Destiny was telling Clare about the monster under Butler Michael’s bed.

Destiny: It had big red glowing eyes and there was smoke!

Clare held back a chuckle and tried to reassure her sister.

Clare: Now don’t you worry.  I’ve checked under my bed and you are safe in here.  You just stick with me okay?

Destiny: Thanks sis!

Martin had managed to get singed again!  He was trying to find a spell to clean himself up.

Dillon: Really how does he keep doing it?

Moss: No idea, probably that dragon of his.

Dillon was just as evil as a teen and enjoyed booby trapping things around the house.

They were everywhere!

Galen had been hired to create some street art at the local bakery.  With his 5 star chef status they even let him have a go in their state of the art oven.

Galen: Omg, I’ve never baked cobbler before, and it’s a different oven.  If it goes wrong I’ll be humiliated!

Galen: Perfection!

The customers were excited to have such a celebrity visiting.

With baking done and autographs signed he finally got to work.

Galen: Hey paparazzi! No photos until it’s finished!

He was very pleased with his work.

Galen: Okay, you can take a picture now.

Paparazzi: Sorry, battery ran out.

Moss enjoyed spending time with his favourite little brother.

However he did have some competition!

Dillon tried out his best evil laugh on Julian.

Dillon: So? Scary huh?

Julian: Nope.

Moss had heard about Destiny’s monster experience and decided to have a word with Butler Michael.

Moss: So what have you got hiding under your bed?

Butler Michael: Urm…nothing sir.

Moss: Oh really!

Clare: it’s okay Moss I already checked while he wasn’t looking.  Nothing but a load of frog porn.

Moss: Oh!

Butler Michael: *cough*

Dillon’s booby traps were playing havoc with the electrics and Kami spent a lot of her free time repairing them.

Dillon was trying to bond with Grayson and making slow progress.

Butler Michael: Ugh!  How come I get all the smelly jobs!

Martin was committed to his music.  One day he hoped to be a great musician.

Butler Michael still had a thing for Kami.

Butler Michael: Just getting the laundry *whistles*

Kami: Why do I feel like someone is watching me?

Kami: How dare you!  Get out!  If I catch you watching me shower again Galen will be using your legs as an entrée!

Jonas shared Martin’s love of music.

Dillon had persuaded Moss to stay behind after their field trip to do their homework.

Moss: This concrete is making my butt numb!  Couldn’t you have found somewhere with chairs?

Dillon: Man up, its summer!

Destiny had quite the crush on Benjamin Newell, a boy in her class.  She hung around outside school hoping to catch a glimpse of him.

Benjamin: Is she stalking me?

Urm.. nope.

Destiny: He never suspected a thing!

No, of course not :/

Clare preferred to complete her homework in the comfort of her own home.

Julian had finally managed to beat Moss to Jonas and quickly settled him in the high chair for dinner.

Julian: Your dinner is served

Jonas: *Giggles*

Galen was sketching again.

Galen: I call it ‘The Embers’

But the fire is still burning?

Galen: Artistic licence.

Martin: homework sucks.

Clare: Tell me about it.

Martin: Seriously!  Who writes this stuff!

Martin:  Arggghhhh!  I can’t cope with this pressure!

Clare: Ok.  Leaving now.

Dillon: Hey kiddo.

Grayson: Brudda!

Julian: Dillon?  What are you up to?

Dillon: Nothing.  Just spending some quality time with my little bro here.

Dillon: You trust me little man don’t you?

Grayson: *giggles*

Dillan: Ha!  My candy now!

Grayson: Waaaaaaaa!

Dillon: Snooze you lose kid.

Galen:  What’s going on in here?  Dillon?  What did you do to Grayson?

Dillon: Nothing Dad.  Just here playing xylophone with Jonas.

Grayson: When I get big brudda is gonna be sorry Wiggles.

Moss had discovered the training dummy.

While Martin was taking a break from music to work on his painting.

It didn’t take Moss long before he earns his first belt.

Destiny, of course, was still glued to Carrot.

Julian called Poppy up and asked her out on a date.

He was very excited and nervous.  He had asked Poppy to the art studio and had a very special day planned.

He had bought her the most expensive flowers in the shop.  The look on her face when she saw them was worth every penny.

Julian had planned for them to take a tour of the studio and take a glass blowing class but they found themselves just holding each other and gazing into each other’s eyes.

He knew that he had found his soul mate and his nerves left him as he presented Poppy with his next surprise.

Julian: Poppy.  I know we are still young but I can’t imagine the rest of my life without you.  Would you please do me the honour of being my wife?

Poppy: *gasp!*

Julian:  Of course we can wait till after graduation.  I don’t want to rush you.

Poppy: …

Julian: Poppy?  Is it too much?  I’m sorry if I….

Poppy: YES!!!

Julian: Really?

Poppy: yes yes yes!!

Poppy: I love you Julian Pendragon!

Back at home the fight for the toddlers continued.

Julian announced the news to Peanut.

Julian: Sooo… we’re engaged!

Peanut: It’s okay.  You can always change your mind.

Julian: But I don’t want to.

Peanut: No, of course not.

Peanut: Why are you watching the cooking channel?

Julian: When Poppy and I get married I want to be able to look after her.  I want to make sure I can cook her favourite meal.

Peanut: So you’re really doing it?

Julian: yes Peanut I am.

Moss: So you really did it? You proposed?

Julian: Yep.

Moss: Aren’t you a little young?

Julian: It’s what we both want.  And of course we will wait till after we graduate.

Moss: Well good luck to you bro, she’s a nice girl.

The family were excited by Julian’s news.

Clare: One day I’ll get married and have lots of adorable little boys just like you Jonas.

Galen was still in the throes of his mid-life crisis.

Galen: My children are growing up so fast.  Soon I’ll be old and grey and my babies will have babies of their own. *sigh*

Kami was also excited and just a little nervous that her first child was growing up so fast.  It wouldn’t be long before the others found their soul mates and flew the nest.

Martin had succumbed to one of Dillon’s many booby traps.

Dillon smiled to himself as he heard Martin’s scream drift down the stairs.

Peanut was still not happy about Julian’s decision.

Peanut: What are you doing?

Julian: Changing my relationship status on simbook.

Peanut: Don’t you think you should wait?  What if something goes wrong?

Julian: Nothing is going to go wrong.

Kami had got a promotion and with it a funky new hairstyle.

Destiny: Mum?  Did you get electrocuted?

Kami: No dear why?

Destiny: Oh.  No reason. *sniggers*

Destiny: Clare do you think Julian will leave us when he marries Poppy?

Clare: *snore*

Destiny: Well I hope he doesn’t I’ll miss him if he goes.  Things seem like they are changing, I mean really changing big time.  I feel like when I wake up the world will be a different place.

And so it will be readers.  Unfortunately the Pendragon’s became corrupt and I had to change things a little, well quite a lot actually!  I was able to rebuild the family from CAS but it meant that a lot of things have changed.  Peanut, the other IF’s and toad butler Michael are no longer with us and the Pendragons have continued life in a new town and a new house.  Don’t worry though, the story continues it will just look a little different!  See you next time, I hope!
