The Pendragon Legacy
Cowgirl Destiny
Well it’s been quiet
of late in the Pendragon household. Kami
and Galen are gradually returning to their normal selves, the teens are pleased
to be getting more time to themselves and Destiny is enjoying childhood so
far. Let’s take a look at what they have
been doing shall we? First off, let’s
visit newly aged Destiny.
Destiny: Will you quit it with
those trumpets? I’ve aged up already!
Finally it was time
for cake.
Destiny: Ewww, I wanted chocolate
cake. I don’t like this!
Clare: Just try it. It has chocolate icing and Butler Michael
made it especially for you.
Destiny: He did?
Well I guess I could try a little piece.
Destiny: *through a mouthful of
cake* this is good!
Galen was starting to
get back to his old self and had started playing with the sprinklers again.
Martin: Hey sis, Dillon wants a
bedtime story. You want to go? I know he loves all the voices you do.
Clare: I’ve got to put Grayson to
bed, you can do it. He loves your voices
too you know.
Martin: Thanks Clare.
Clare: Come on little man, time
for sleeps.
Martin: Sorry I’m not as good as
Clare at the voices kiddo.
Dillon: You’re great Martin! You can even make cooking interesting.
Kami was putting
Jonas to bed. She regretted the time she
had missed with the boys as babies and hoped that it wouldn’t affect their
relationship.
Kami: Good night my little man,
sleep tight.
Jonas: Luvs yous mummy!
Kami: Love you too Jonas.
I don’t think she
needs to worry J
Destiny
had found a new love in her life. The
rocking horse.
At every opportunity
she would head for the horse and play for hours.
Galen had started
painting again.
Clare was trying to
teach Moss and Destiny the finer points of basketball.
Clare: So, that’s what you call a
slam dunk!
Destiny: I don’t get it.
Clare: What part don’t you get
sweetie? I’ll try and explain it better.
Destiny: All of it.
Clare: *face-palm*
Moss had got bored
halfway through his sister’s lesson and decided his time was better spent
singing to Snuggles.
Destiny: Ok. Who’s been playing with my horsey? He’s moved!
Jonas: She’s not got much nicer now she is older.
Grayson: She shouts a lot.
Clare was annoyed
that she hadn’t been able to teach her siblings anything about basketball.
She worked off her aggression
by practicing what she preached.
Destiny: Did you touch my horsey?
Dillon: No.
Destiny: Well someone touched
it! It’s my horsey!
Dillon: Well, I might know who
did.
Destiny: Well aren’t you going to tell me?
Dillon: Come with me. The walls have ears.
Destiny: Really! Where?
I can’t see them.
Dillon: *sigh*
Dillon: Okay. I think it’s safe.
Destiny: So? Who was it?
Dillon: Come closer.
Destiny: Why, what are you going
to do?
Dillon: Nothing! Now come here!
Dillon: It was Dad!
Destiny: Don’t be so silly!
Dillon: No really. It’s this midlife crisis thing; it’s made him
do some weird stuff.
Destiny: Oh my! I wish I had seen it!
Dillon: It was hilarious! His knees up round his ears screaming high ho
silver!
Destiny: Nooo! *giggles*
Clare was giving
Grayson his dinner.
Clare: There you go little man,
enjoy!
Grayson: Yukky!
Clare: He threw it on the floor
didn’t he?
Yup.
Clare: Knew it.
As the first legacy
portrait of Kami had been left behind in the rush to leave Sunlit Tides, Galen
was working on a new one.
Martin had found a
hungry Merlin wandering the garden.
Everyone was very
upset to find that Jin had died.
Except for Julian who
had discovered the latest batch of chicks had hatched.
Kami’s portrait was
finally finished.
Somehow Martin had
got a little singed. Not sure how that happened!
Clare’s martial arts skills
had progressed on to board breaking.
Martin was showing
Merlin off to his siblings when Kami arrived home.
Kami: Martin, what are you doing with my dragon?
Martin: Sorry mum. I found him wandering around outside and we
kind of bonded.
Kami: I was wondering where he
had got to I’ve been worried.
Martin: You’re not mad are
you? I mean I’ve been taking real good
care of him.
Kami: Of course not. I’m just glad you found him. As long as he wants to be with you he is
yours.
Martin: Really? You mean it?
Kami: Yes. Just look after him okay?
Martin: Cool! Thanks mum!
Moss had a badging
ceremony for the scouts. He has got a
special prize for collecting the most badges.
Moss: Heh! Who’s the better scout now Dillon! Dillon?
Dillon: *snore*
Destiny: Dad, do I have to go to
school?
Galen: Yes. Now hurry up or you will miss the bus.
Destiny: But I want to play with
horsey!
Galen: You can play when you get
home. Now scoot!
Destiny: Can I play on my horsey
now?
Clare: have you done your
homework?
Destiny: Ummm..
Clare: Homework first!
Destiny: Stupid homework.
With her homework
finally done Destiny was able to play on her beloved horse.
Destiny: Giddy up Carrot! We’re
going to go take over the school. No
more school bus or homework for us! Mwahahah!
Clare had discovered
the joys of gardening.
She enjoyed spending
time in the fresh air with her mother.
And the food tasted
that bit nicer knowing that she had helped grow it.
As Destiny and Carrot
had failed in their plan to take over the school it was time to get the bus
again.
Destiny: Well if I have to go
then I am going to rule the school!
Ah, such an attitude on
this one!
So, like I said, not
much happening this chapter but that’s the way it goes with free will!
