The Pendragon Legacy
Hot Dogs and New Friends
Well it’s been a
while since we visited the Pendragons.
Last time we met Julian had become a teen and we welcomed Destiny to the
family. Well I haven’t been idle and if
you've seen my Tru Sims page you will know just how far our little family has
progressed! So, let’s see what they have
been up to shall we?
Galen had reached the
top of his career and become a five star chef; this also meant that he
completed his lifetime wish!
With the new position
came less hours and more time to spend with his growing family.
Martin’s broom riding
skills were improving in leaps and bounds.
As were Clare’s
ballet skills.
Julian had been moved
to a higher group in school and the homework was proving stressful.
Martin, not to be
outdone by his sister, decided to try his hand at ballet. How did he do? Let’s just say he only tried the one time!
As a teen, Julian
felt it his responsibility to help around the house and even went as far as
unblocking the toilet.
Galen had heard about
the joys of sprinklers from an article about the super famous Von Strunkle
family. Wanting to be up with the big
guns he gave it a go, and was hooked!
Galen: OMG! This is so much fun! I must write to the Von Strunkles and thank
them for introducing me to this exhilarating sport!
Urm, Galen, It’s not a sport. It’s
what children do as play.
Galen: Pah! If the Von Strunkles do it then it’s a
sport! Do you know who they are? They are the biggest family going!!
Yes of course I do, they are the best!

Galen: Sorry, can’t hear you above
the water!
Dillon: DADDY!!! Where have you been? I’ve been calling you for forever!
Galen: I’ve been, urm, helping
Mummy in the garden.
Dillon: Well if yous was helping
Mummy then I forgive you.
Galen: Well thank you Dillon and
Daddy loves you.
Moss: Whats you doing? I shouted for Daddy!
Julian: Well you got me
kiddo. Want some dinner?
Moss: Hmm, kay, suppose.
Moss: Wow! It’s the good stuff! I is calling you next time big brudda!
Julian: Glad you like it little dude.
Despite the many time
Kami played her little trick on Moss he always fell for it.
Kami: Oh no Moss here comes the
claw to gobble you up!
Moss: Noes Mummy! Not the evil claw!
Kami: Gobble, gobble gobble!
Moss: Ha ha ha! Mummy that tickles!
Kami was out in the
garden with Merlin discussing gardening and reaping the harvest.
Kami: GALEN!
Galen: Wha! Sorry!
Moss loved music and
was often found playing with the xylophone.
Clare had decided to
try her hand at inventing. She loved the
challenge of making something out of nothing.
While Martin had
taken to painting.
Kami enjoyed having
another daughter. Although her and Clare
were close she hoped that Destiny would be the little girly girl that Clare was
not.
Clare: Dad? Will you read me a bedtime story?
Galen: Sorry honey got something
very important to attend to.
Clare: You’re going to play with
the sprinkler again aren’t you?
Galen: Well…I…I’m sure I could
make time for a bedtime story.
Galen: So there once was a
princess who kissed a frog. He turned
into a prince and they got married. The
end.
Clare: You’re not telling it
right Daddy! That book isn’t even
princess and the frog, it’s a science book!
Galen: Oh! Urm… Ok.
If an atom were the size of a stadium, its electrons would be as small
as bees.
Clare: Much better Daddy.
Kami and Galen had
won a free holiday. With the rain never
ending they were glad to get away somewhere sunny and left Julian in charge of
the house.
Moss: Mummy and Daddy went
away? I don’t want them to go away!
*sob*
Julian: Right, while Mum and Dad
are away I’m in charge got it?
Clare: *sigh* yes.
Julian: So do your homework.
Clare: I’m already doing it!
Julian: Ah, yes. Well good job.
Clare: *mumbles* turnip head.
Peanut: Hey! What’s going on here? I want to play!
Julian: Sorry Peanut but Destiny
calls. *giggles to himself*
Peanut: You’re weird.
Julian: Right Moss, time for
sleepies.
Moss: You is doing good big
brudda.
Julian: Come on Dillon bed time.
Dillon: Gerroff! I’m not tired! Where’s Mummy?
With the little ones
finally settled, Julian set about making dinner for the rest of them.
Julian: Martin! Dinner!
Martin: Hang on! I’m reaching a high score.
Julian: Now please Martin.
Martin: Humph. Fine.
Martin: What is it?
Julian: Mac and Cheese.
Martin: You sure?
Julian: Just eat it kid.
Dillon: I don’t like big brudda.
Moss: I do he gives me snuggles
and food and stuff.
Dillon: Brudda’s pet!
Moss: *blows raspberry*
Martin: That was awful.
Clare: I know, but he’s doing his
best.
Martin: I’m getting Butler
Michael to make something.
Clare: Good plan *pushes bowl
away*
Michael: Bless the kid, he’s doing his best. Never going to be a chef like his dad
though. That stuff smells like 10 day
old cabbage!
Julian was feeling a
little stressed by the whole situation.
Julian: I can do this. I can do this. I can do this.
Moss: Brudda, put down Bobo and
listens to my tunes!
Dillon: I did not knows we had a
cat.
Moss: We don’ts?
Dillon: Well it sounds like yous
is sittings on one.
Dillon: Maybe yous should play
blocks. Blocks is quiet and funs.
Peanut: What you doing?
Julian: Practicing.
Peanut: But you are a genie. What do you want to practice alchemy for?
Julian: So Mum will be proud.
Peanut: Okay. But I think she already is you know.
Peanut: Hey you’re back from
school, wanna play?
Julian: Sure Peanut.
Julian: There I beat you gotta go
now.
Peanut: But we just started!
Julian: I know, but I have a
friend over from school and I’ve left her outside.
Peanut: Oh.
This

But before Julian had
a chance to go and greet Poppy the wee ones had needs to be filled.
Peanut: I thought you had a
friend over?
Julian: I do. But Moss needed feeding. I hope she’s not mad.
Julian: Hey, could you watch Moss
while I go talk to Poppy?
Peanut: Pardon!?
Julian: Look Peanut. I don’t ask you for anything you could at
least do this for me!
Peanut: But…but, he can’t see
me! You know that!
Julian: He doesn’t need to see
you! Just keep an eye on him for a
minute!
Peanut: Fine!
Peanut: *sighs* Well kid it’s
just you and me.
Moss: Brudda? I’m done eatings. Where are you brudda?
Peanut: This is not going to end
well.
Julian: Hey Poppy. I’m really glad you came over and I’m so
sorry to ignore you but my parents are away and the kids *hears Destiny crying*
oh, I have to go see to her.
Poppy: No worries, I’ll wait till
you’re done. I understand.
Julian: Thank you! You are the best!
As Julian headed off
to the nursery, Poppy headed to the workout room to dance.
Julian: Ugh! My parents are ruining my life!
Moss: Brudda! Where you go!
I has been sittin here for ages!
Julian: Sorry kiddo, my bad. You still love me though right?
Moss: Maybe. If you lets me outs!
With the kids finally
sorted, Julian sat down to dinner with Poppy and the older children.
Martin: So Poppy, are you Julian’s
girlfriend?
Julian: *chokes*
Clare: Oooh girlfriend? Yes big brother, I approve!
Julian: *nervous laugh* urm…I…
Poppy: No Martin, we are just
friends.
Clare: Hmm shame. I like you Poppy. Will you visit again?
Poppy: I hope so Clare and thank you.
Poppy: Thanks for dinner, I’ve
got to get home now or Mum will worry.
Lovely to meet you all.
Julian made the house
sparkling clean with his genie powers ready for the return of his parents.
Peanut: That girl. You like her don’t you?
Julian: Trying to relax here
Peanut.
Peanut: OMG! You do!
I don’t like it.
Julian: We’re just friends
Peanut.
Peanut: My life is over!
Julian: Oh really, don’t be so
dramatic!
Martin: Hey look I got a new
badge!
Clare: Cool what’s it for?
Martin: Fishing!
Clare: Really? I didn’t know you fished?
Martin: I caught a minnow, *gestures with hands* it
was this big!
Clare: Yeah, right!
Julian: Don’t sit on the
furniture, it’s just been cleaned!
Clare & Martin: WHAT!
Martin headed to the
basement to work on his painting some more and keep out of Julian’s way.
Julian headed
upstairs to tend to the toddlers needs.
Moss: Brudda!
Peanut: You are still looking
after these smelly things?
Julian: Look. Mum and Dad will be back any time now and I
need everything to be perfect.
Peanut: If you want perfect I’d
get rid of that little friend of yours.
They won’t like her.
Julian: Peanut. I do believe you are jealous. Now excuse me I have things to do.
Annoyed at Peanut’s
over reaction to his friendship with Poppy, Julian quickly finished cleaning up
the house.
His parents arrived
home as he slept.
Kami headed straight
to the nursery.
Kami: My baby boy!
Dillon: Missed you Mummy!
Kami and Galen had
returned home in time for Spooky Day and as Julian had done such a good job
looking after everything he decided a costume party was in order.
Kami and Galen had
matching hot dog costumes.
Martin was a super
hero.
Clare was highly embarrassed
to have ended up with a costume matching her parents.
Cowboy Julian served
coffee. He was a little upset as he hadn’t
seen Poppy since her visit and he was worried that she was avoiding him.
But his parents had
invited her to the party without him knowing thanks to a heads up from Clare
and Martin. But would he notice the cute
kitty cat?
Clare: Can you believe it. I match my parents. So not cool!
Kid: Don’t worry, my parents make
me wear this and I can hardly breathe!
Clare: Okay, you win.
Peanut: Hey, why so glum?
Julian: I don’t think Poppy likes
me.
Peanut: So?
Julian: Oh Peanut, you just
wouldn’t understand.
Peanut: How about a game of pool
to cheer you up?
Julian: Sure, why not.
But Julian got quite
a surprise when he entered the games room.
Julian: Poppy!
Poppy: Hey Julian!
Julian: So…Urm…
Peanut: I can’t believe it! She’s here!
Julian: It’s really great to see
you Poppy! I haven’t seen you around I
thought…
Poppy: Oh, I’ve been away at my
fathers. I go and stay with him every
once in a while since him and Mum separated.
Julian: Oh, I’m sorry.
Poppy: Really, there’s nothing to
be sorry about. They are much better
apart than together. All that fighting,
ugh!
Peanut: They are getting along, I
can’t stand it!
Julian: So you wanna play pool?
Poppy: I’d love to play!
Peanut: Hey! I thought we were playing. Hello?
Julian? Why are you ignoring me!
Clare decided to
get out of her stuffy costume and work on her athletic skills. One day she hoped to be a big shot athlete.
Martin had also shed
his costume in favour of his broom riding.
With Poppy headed
home Julian enjoyed the rest of his evening with whack a gnome.
Galen started to put the
little ones to bed.
While Kami spent some
time on the treadmill.
But with Galen’s
quick exit to fulfill his sprinkler addiction.
It was down to Kami
to finish bedtime duties.
Clare had decided to
try her hand at cooking.
Clare: If I do say so myself,
these are good!
Dillon was having
trouble sleeping. Kami rocked with him
and worried that Galen's sprinkler addiction was becoming a problem.
Clare was trying to
be a good big sister and spent as much time as she could with her younger
siblings.
Kami decided it was
time to pick up her alchemy lessons again.
In
the garden there were issues with the gnomes who had been scared by a snake.
Julian decided to
give acupuncture a go and Galen was only too happy to help.
It was time for
Dillon and Moss to have a birthday so Kami threw a party.
First to the cake was
Moss.
Sparkles!
And then Dillon.
More sparkles!!
